8. Jimmy Havoc

British wrestling’s hardcore icon crossed an item off his career bucket list in 2017 when he competed in and won the CZW Tournament Of Death. Former PROGRESS Champion is still a regular on the UK circuit but has since spread his wings further afield with US indies, most notably MLW. Havoc’s intense hardcore style is not for the faint-hearted and it is difficult to imagine him as a regular for WWE without being significantly toned down. Evidently Havoc feels the same way, rejecting their advances in favor of the freedom to continue doing what he loves doing.
7. Doug Williams

One of the greats of the British scene over the past 20 years, 45-year old veteran Williams has competed everywhere except for WWE. Was one of the top acts in the FWA, a regular for ROH during its formative years, and became the first of the new wave of Brits to crack the Japanese scene with NOAH. Had a successful run in TNA at the turn of the decade before returning to the British scene in 2014. Surprised many by capture the PROGRESS Atlas title last month. Is said to be on the verge of retirement so a last hurrah with WWE could have been a feel-good end to his career. Alas, it was not to be.
