10 Best WWE Raw Moments Of The 2010s

HONOURARY MENTION: “I’m in Remission, Y’all” – February 25, 2019

Alright. This is an update to the original article. This is not an honourary mention because it does not deserve to be on this list. Rather, this is an honourary mention because I am a big dumb dumb head and completely forgot it happened while I was writing it. Needless to say, it absolutely deserves a spot on the list.

Roman Reigns revealed to the world that he had leukemia in October 2018 and it rocked WWE fans to their core. Gone were the days of ruthlessly booing him at every turn and the WWE Universe showed compassion towards a man going through an unbelievable struggle.

Months later, Reigns returned to Raw and told the world that he was in remission. The news was the best moment of 2019 in all of WWE by far and one of the best Raw moments of all time.

10. The NEXUS Destroys Raw – June 7, 2010

The 2010s may not have been the best time for Monday Night Raw quality-wise, but that doesn’t mean the show didn’t have its moments. On this list, we will be looking at the ten best WWE Raw moments from the 2010s.

First up, no one really knew what to expect after the first season of NXT. Wade Barrett had been voted the winner but there were seven other people supposedly under contracts. What were they to do? Well, on June 7, 2010, we got our answer as the entire cast of NXT invaded Raw, destroying the ring and everyone in their path.

People like John Cena and Justin Roberts got the brunt of the assault and “The NEXUS” was formed. The storyline that followed massively dropped the ball with the group but for one night they made an impression.

9. Dolph Ziggler Cashes In Money in the Bank – April 8, 2013

Similar to the last entry, the follow up to Dolph Ziggler’s Money in the Bank cash in was pretty pathetic. The hardcore audience wanted to see Ziggler finally pushed to the top of the card and on the night after WrestleMania 29, they got their wish. Or so they thought.

Ziggler won the World Heavyweight Championship from Alberto Del Rio to a colossal ovation. To date, it is one of the best title wins in the history of the show. However, Vince McMahon had no desire to get behind Ziggler long-term and he lost the strap in his first title defense. For that night, however, he was the champion of all champions.

8. Brock Lesnar Returns to Raw – April 2, 2012

Few people have had worse departures from WWE than Brock Lesnar in 2004. ‘The Next Big Thing’ was tired of WWE life and departed the company, resulting in a bitter lawsuit. In the following eight years, Lesnar’s star grew tenfold, becoming the biggest combat sports attraction in the world. In 2012, he shocked the world by returning to WWE.

The night after WrestleMania XXVIII, Lesnar emerged during the main event segment and hit John Cena with an F5. It would take a few years for Lesnar to really hit his stride but this was a huge moment in front of the biggest television audience of WWE’s year.
