10 Classic Matches That Had Even Better Overlooked Sequels

9. Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena (WrestleMania XXIV & Night of Champions 2009)

I really enjoy the triple threat match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXIV. I think it is a fun match, not amazing by any means, but certainly a good time. Randy Orton walking away with the W really helped solidify him as a young champion and when they all crossed paths again a year later at Night of Champions 2009 they upped the anti with an even better match.

The WrestleMania match seemed to suffer from being in a big open air stadium with only pockets of fans able to make noise to come across on TV but in a smaller arena at Night of Champions you get the full attention of the crowd with Triple H and John Cena teaming up on Orton with dual submissions before Legacy makes the save allowing Orton to get the win.

This was right about where the Cena vs Orton rivalry became grating and well after the Triple H vs. Orton had but they still pulled off a really solid match. Tis a good time no alcohol required.
