10 Dream WWE vs. NJPW/AEW Matches

10. PAC vs. Will Ospreay vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade

Do I really need to explain why I think a WWE vs. NJPW/AEW Super-Show should feature this match?

For those that don’t watch NJPW, the Japanese promotion likes to showcase their Juniors (Cruiserweights in WWE speak) in multi-man action at the start of a show to get the crowd hot just like WWE does or WCW used to. However, NJPW just does it way better than their American counterparts.

The WWE relegate their cruiserweights to the pre-show, but NJPW stack their Junior division with star-power and their matches are often the most entertaining and impressive at any given show.

Mysterio debuted in NJPW at the beginning of 2018 before re-signing with WWE, and fans were fantasy booking him in one-on-one matches with the Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay, or in one of the aforementioned multi-man matches.

Will Ospreay wrestled a 4 ½ star match with Rey Mysterio for Defiant (then WCPW) back in 2017. Rey has wrestled a 4 and a 4 ¼ match with Andrade in 2019 on Smackdown. These are the only instances where any of these four men have faced off in one-on-one competition. If that is not a sign that this fatal four-way match won’t be fantastic, and like nothing we’ve seen before, then nothing I say will convince you.

All four men are excellent workers. They are students of the game who mix their impressive agility and athleticism with some hard-hitting offense and have exception in-ring psychology. This match would be incredibly fast-paced and would feature the best high-flyers that AEW, NJPW, and WWE have to offer. It really is a dream-match in many regards and one that would not only get the crowd hot but could even steal the show.
