10. John Cena
When John Cena made his debut against Kurt Angle in 2002, he was not even close to a polished performer. However, over the next three years Cena would turn from white-meat babyface into the ‘Doctor of Thuganomics’ into the face of WWE. All of that occurred on SmackDown.
John Cena made SmackDown his home from 2002 until he was drafted to Raw in 2005, and then again from 2016-2017. During the early portion of his career, Cena became known for his entertaining rap segments, before winning the WWE Championship from JBL at WrestleMania 21. Years later in 2016, he returned to SmackDown, albeit on a part-time schedule, and had a fantastic series of matches with AJ Styles.
While his best years came in the years following his departure from the blue brand, John Cena made his name on SmackDown and became one of the biggest stars in all of WWE. However, what really puts him over-the-top was the mere two hours he spent as a member of the SmackDown roster in 2011 when he was drafted to SmackDown, and then drafted back to Raw on the very same show.
