10 Greatest WWE Survivor Series Matches Of All Time

10. Triple H vs. Ric Flair – Last Man Standing (2005)

Triple H’s relationships with his Evolution stablemates did not end well in 2004-2005. After turning on Randy Orton in 2004 and having Batista turn on him before WrestleMania 21, Triple H completed the trifecta and took on his idol and mentor Ric Flair.

Their rivalry stretched through the fall of 2005, resulting in a bloody cage match at Taboo Tuesday. Flair was able to get the win inside the steel cage but the rivalry was not settled, so they did battle in a gruesome Last Man Standing match at Survivor Series 2005. Triple H was in his fully fledged heel role at the time and he took out all his pent up frustration about Evolution on his former partner. The ‘Game’ used a screwdriver and his patented sledgehammer to finally keep Flair down for the referee’s ten count.

The match was an extremely violent gem that seems to have been lost to history as it is rarely mentioned by WWE, likely due to the excessive blood and violence. Regardless, the match is worth seeking out and is still one of Flair’s better matches from his last WWE run.
