10 Hangman Page Matches You NEED To See

3. Hangman Page & Kenny Omega vs. Lucha Bros. – AEW Dynamite (February 19, 2020)

When Hangman Page and Kenny Omega started teaming it did not seem like they were destined for success. While they are extremely talented, Omega and Page had a hard time getting on the same page (pun intended). The Lucha Bros. had beaten them in 2019, leading to this AEW World Tag Team Championship match.

As of this writing, this is one of the best tag team matches in AEW history. The Lucha Bros. are an incredible team and they mix particularly well with a more grounded team like Omega and Page. While there were still miscommunications between them, Omega and Page were able to keep Rey Fenix and Pentagon down in maybe the best match in Dynamite history. It showed the progression in Omega and Page’s relationship and gave a glimpse into just how good a team they could be together.

2. Hangman Page vs. Joey Janela – ALL IN

This was the match that made Hangman Page a singles star. ALL IN was a monumental event and Page was in one of the featured storylines and matches. Page has said his involvement in Being The Elite was perhaps the biggest contributor to his legacy. This was is some ways the pinnacle of that. Page’s storyline where he “murdered” Joey Ryan was his biggest moment on the show and that built to this show.

On top of the build and the moment with Joey Ryan afterward, Page had one of the best matches on a stacked show with Joey Janela. This was a Street Fight and they took full advantage of the plunder available to him. With one of the hottest crowds in years solidly behind Page, he nailed Janela with the Last Rites off a ladder, through a table to win one of the biggest matches of his career.

1. Hangman Page & Kenny Omega vs. The Young Bucks – AEW Revolution

When it comes down to it, there is no question this is the best match of Page’s career. Page and Omega set a new bar for tag team wrestling with the Young Bucks at AEW Revolution but more importantly, this match is a perfect window into their current storyline.

Page had been butting heads with the Young Bucks for months with Omega caught in the middle. Finally, it built to this match with the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line. This match was a masterclass of storytelling as each combination of wrestlers had a different emotional connection. Matt Jackson and Page were vicious, the Young Bucks and Omega were sporting, which only made Page upset with Omega, it was fantastic.

Ultimately, if you want to look at an amazing match with Hangman Page as the star and an illustration of where this storyline is and is heading, this is the match for you.
