10 NXT Call-Ups That WWE Horrendously Botched

10. Tye Dillinger

The ‘Perfect 10’ is quite fittingly ranked at #10. Although he was never NXT Champion, Dillinger certainly made quite an impact in NXT. Especially, for his match against a debuting Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas at NXT Takeover: The End. But Dillinger has experienced very little success since coming up to SmackDown Live in April 2017.

After defeating Curt Hawkins in his first match on SmackDown, Dillinger entered a feud with Aiden English, beating him at Backlash. He was without much until September, where he took part in a brief 3 way feud with AJ Styles and Baron Corbin, with Corbin coming out of the affair with the United States Championship.

He has been rarely used since then, with quick feuds, and being used as a enhancement talent for guys like Samoa Joe. He is currently sidelined with a hand injury suffered in late October this year.

Although not as over as he once was, Dillinger is still one of the biggest fan-favorites on SmackDown, and has many fans who are hoping he finds success in WWE sometime soon.
