10 NXT Matches You Can Watch For Free Right Now

7. Jack Gallagher vs. Drew Gulak – United Kingdom Championship Tournament Round 1

If you’re a fan of pure grappling, this contest was made for you.

With both competitors seeing their future in the 2018 UK Championship Tournament, NXT’s top grapplers locked horns. Only one man was able to punch their ticket to Blackpool, so both Gulak and Gallagher were determined to best one another.

This bout is short and sweet, with Jack and Drew spending 7 minutes tying each other in knots. Exceptional technical wrestling, followed by a finish out of nowhere, what isn’t to love?

6. Aleister Black vs. Tommaso Ciampa – NXT Championship

If you miss the feeling of sitting in an electric crowd, this contest will make you feel right at home.

After his 2018 battles with Gargano, nobody was hated more than Ciampa. When he challenged beloved NXT Champion Aleister Black, you could feel the crowd’s emotions through the screen.

Black had hardly tasted defeat before this championship match and didn’t plan to. Ciampa was dedicated to winning NXT’s top prize, almost to spite fans of The Gold Brand.

A truly unpredictable contest, this one will have you jumping out of your seat. Headphone warning, the end of this match gets loud.

5. Halftime Heat 2019

If you didn’t want to watch the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show, NXT provided an amazing alternative. Fan favourites Black, Dream and Ricochet clashed with Cole, Gargano and Ciampa in an epic encounter.

A six-man match involving two champions, Halftime Heat had massive implications for the future of the Wednesday night brand. With the strict time limit, this battle was high-octane from start to finish.

It’s a rare occasion to see so many of NXT’s top names in the ring at the same time. Not only did they deliver an exciting encounter, it will have you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

4. Seth Rollins vs. Big E – NXT Championship

With the success of The New Day, it’s often forgotten that Big E was a championship calibre singles wrestler.

In 2013, the former power-lifter battled inaugural champion Seth Rollins for NXT’s top title. With the No Disqualification stipulation, the other members of The Shield became a formidable threat.

In his attempts to overcome the odds, Big E won the hearts of everyone in Full Sail University. A 2020 singles run seemingly on the cards for the powerhouse of The New Day. This contest is definitely worth the watch to see what we can expect from E’s return to the singles division.
