10 Possible Opponents For Drew McIntyre At WrestleMania 37

10 Possible Opponents For Drew McIntyre At WrestleMania 37

At Royal Rumble 2021, Drew McIntyre pinned Goldberg to retain the WWE Championship. After defeating such a dominant athlete on the road to WrestleMania 37, many are wondering who McIntyre will face at The Show of Shows.

Here are 10 stars that could face McIntyre at WrestleMania 37.

10. Keith Lee

When a Drew McIntyre vs. Keith Lee vs. Brock Lesnar bout was rumoured for this year’s WrestleMania, a lot of fans expressed their conflicted emotions with this match. While the Triple Threat match was intriguing, most just wanted to see McIntyre and Lee go one-on-one at The Show of Shows.

Debuting on the main roster in August 2020, Lee took Raw by storm, pinning Randy Orton at his first pay-per-view. Always associated with the WWE Champion, it could be time for Lee to step out of McIntyre’s shadow.

The Limitless One challenged for the WWE title at the beginning of the year, but came up short. While it wasn’t Keith Lee’s moment then, April could see us all basking in Lee’s glory.

One of the most athletic competitors on the Raw roster, Lee main-eventing WrestleMania 37 would instantly launch The Limitless One into stardom.

9. Mustafa Ali

Mustafa Ali is one of the most interesting acts in WWE today. Being turned away from his WWE try-out for “not looking the part”, getting to WWE was no easy task or Ali.

Breaking into the company as a last-minute replacement in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, Ali went against the WWE norm, refusing to be defined by his Asian heritage. Making a name for himself in the Cruiserweight division, Ali battled all stereotypes to become a mainstay of Monday Night Raw.

Standing at 5ft10 and weighing 182lbs, The Retribution leader is pretty much the opposite of a “typical” WWE Champion. This is why it would be so intriguing if Ali would challenge McIntyre for WWE’s top title.

WWE wouldn’t make Mustafa Ali their top champion… or would they? Flipping the concept of “KofiMania” on it’s head, a McIntyre-Ali match could steal WrestleMania weekend.

8. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins and Drew McIntrye’s Money In The Bank clash was one of the most entertaining WWE title bouts of 2020. With Rollins returning at Royal Rumble 2021, we could see a rematch between The Messiah and The Chosen One.

After their Championship encounter, Rollins became a thorn in the Mysterio family’s side. Dominating both Raw and Smackdown last year, it was quite fitting that The Architect wrestled his last match of 2020 at Survivor Series.

After dominating WWE for the best part of 2020, Rollins easily qualifies for a championship rematch. The duo have so much chemistry together, so the sequel match wouldn’t disappoint.

If WrestleMania 37 will be a “parade of former stars“, a main-event featuring two of the best wrestlers in the world would be a welcomed palate cleanser.
