Samoa Joe
Joe has been absent for a number of weeks now after both being suspended for a wellness policy and also suffering a concussion while filming a commercial.
Anyway, who knows what Joe we’re going to get when he’s back? One thing is for sure, Joe’s always a killer, and always aims to pose a legitimate threat to whoever he steps in the ring with.
Much like Owens, Joe would provide McIntyre with a heavyweight opponent packed with agility, prowess and technique, which would make for a pretty boss match.
John Cena
In storyline, in January 2019, Drew McIntyre injured John Cena which prevented Cena from being able to compete in the Royal Rumble match.
Cena vs. a new top guy always works. We’ve seen it with Reigns and more recently Wyatt. “You don’t have what it takes to carry the company on your back like I did” and all that jazz.
And let’s also not forget Cena is one World Title win away from 17, and even if he doesn’t break that mark, it’s pretty likely he’s going to get at least one more opportunity before the clock strikes on his career.
WALTER
You’re damn right WALTER made it on this list.
Just… the chops… THE CHOPS!
We’ve already seen them interact on WWE TV at Survivor Series, and in fact it was McIntyre who eliminated the Austrian from that match.
The first ever British WWE Champion against the champion of WWE’s UK brand. Logic dictates this should happen.
But it’s WWE so it probably won’t and this makes me sad.
