3. Will The New Tag Team Titles Be Cross-Brand?
Arguments have been made in the past that any new women’s tag team belts should be cross-branded, or even cross-promotional. It would be an exciting prospect to be able to show up on one of the NXT shows for a defense, for example.
That doesn’t seem likely, though, with the brand split expected to get even more real when Fox takes over SmackDown. The sports network has expressed its feelings about other network’s superstars showing up on their air, and it isn’t positive.
More likely than not, the belts are going to be confined to one brand or the other. This isn’t a terrible idea but will require some wrestlers to be shifted around.
