10 Revival Post-WWE Dream Matches

7. Guerrillas of Destiny

The Guerrillas of Destiny have been the top heavyweight tag team in New Japan Pro Wrestling for the last few years. When the time comes, odds are they will be the IWGP Tag Team Champions. Tama Tonga has a lot of charisma and while it seems unlikely we will see a double heel match in New Japan Pro Wrestling, it would be a good one.

The Revival will almost undoubtedly be heels when they make their first post-WWE appearance, and GoD is a team that needs a babyface team to play off of. That being said, if Wilder and Dawson want to be the top tag team in the world, knocking of GoD is a good place to start.

6. Santana & Ortiz

Since arriving in All Elite Wrestling at All Out last year, Santana and Ortiz have latched on to good people. They are members of the Inner Circle alongside Chris Jericho, Jack Swagger, and Sammy Guevara, and fight dirtier than anyone else in AEW.

The Revival seems destined to show up in All Elite Wrestling at some point and thus will have to collide with Proud and Powerful eventually. As one of the great tag teams in wrestling, Santana and Ortiz could be a great opponent as their brawling style could mix nicely with a Revival team who is focused on viciously out-wrestling them.

5. EVIL & SANADA

There aren’t too many people in New Japan Pro Wrestling more talented than EVIL and SANADA, and even fewer of them make up such a great tag team. EVIL and SANADA have made up the heavyweight tag team of Los Ingobernables de Japon and have been the most talented heavyweight team in New Japan for the last three years.

If the Revival ends up in New Japan, this is a match that must happen. SANADA seemed poised to break through as a singles star this year before the pandemic halted New Japan’s shows but one last run as tag champs could put him and EVIL on a collision course with The Revival.

4. Roppongi 3K

From the most talented heavyweight team to the most talented junior heavyweight team, Roppongi 3K is maybe the most underrated team on this list. The fans in New Japan love them for their ability and boyish charm. The latter would make them a prime candidate for a big match with the burly and mean Revival.

SHO and YOH are fast and exciting in addition to being great wrestlers. This combination would make them the perfect babyfaces to face Wilder and Dawson. It seems slightly unlikely that The Revival would be brought in as a junior heavyweight tag team given their size, but hey, New Japan tried to say Shingo Takagi was a junior heavyweight so what’s the different.
