10 awesome WCW concepts WWE should bring back

Recently, WWE announced that they’re bringing back Starrcade for a second time. They also just announced that The World Cup will be held at WWE Crown JewelBoth of these were WCW concepts from long ago. WCW and Jim Crockett Productions had a very long list of wild ideas for matches, pay-per-views, and other concepts.

Some worked. A lot didn’t. Some should have worked a lot better. WWE should consider looking back at some of these ideas and see what would make sense in today’s wrestling scene.

Here’s our list of 10 WCW concepts that WWE should consider reviving.

10: WarGames: The Match Beyond

I know, I know. NXT brought back WarGames last year, but did they really? WarGames was always a clash between factions of five in a cage with a roof on the cage. The heels always won the coin flip and gained a one man advantage. I need to remember to heel it up when I go to Vegas next time.  Heels are just that lucky.

WarGames matches were usually a bloody mess filled with dangerous spots. The match didn’t even start until all 10 guys were in the ring. 20 minutes later the match actually starts, and it didn’t end until somebody gave up.

While the NXT match was good, it didn’t give me the warm fuzzies of my youth watching the Four Horsemen beat up on Dusty’s team. Give me five-on-five faction warfare.

WWE should put this match on Starrcade and put it on the WWE Network. If not Starrcade, then Survivor Series. However, I’m nostalgic and Starrcade seems the better fit. We have some budding factions in WWE right now: Dogs of War, the Shield, New Day, are all three man groups who could easily fit in the match.

However, if I’m truly wishing for the stars, how about a Club reunion of sorts? AJ Styles, Finn Bálor, Anderson, Gallows, and fifth guy like Daniel Bryan vs. the Shield and the Usos. Truthfully, I don’t really care which factions square off as long as it’s not the Dungeon of Doom. The WarGames match is the spectacle I’m wanting to see.
