10. Beth Phoenix
Whilst some have speculated Beth Phoenix will be making a full in-ring return after last night’s Fastlane pay-per-view, WWE has yet to confirm it with an announcement, meaning she still deserves a place on this list.
Beth performed for WWE between 2006-2012, and during her time with the company showcased her impressive strength and power. She even competed in the 2010 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, surprisingly eliminating The Great Khali.
Phoenix, like many other women on this list as we will come to see, performed at a time where women were undervalued and improperly showcased by WWE. Should Phoenix have emerged onto the scene a decade later, she could have been involved in high-profile matches with the likes of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
The ”Glamazon” is certainly not past it either, she is one year younger than Mickie James and less than a year older than Asuka, the reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion.
Phoenix could be a useful member of the WWE women’s roster in either the tag division or even as a singles star. Beth was a real figurehead of the division for half a dozen years, yet she never had a proper WrestleMania moment. A match at WrestleMania 35 does seem on the cards, and Phoenix should have a nice run on TV, helping to put over younger talent before she retires for good.
