10 WWE Underdogs Who Should Challenge For A World Championship

7. Montez Ford

A WWE Performance Center success story, Ford is one of the most gifted athletes currently on the red brand. One half of the current Raw Tag Team Champions, Ford is another competitor most famous for working as part of a tandem.

Although his talents certainly aren’t wasted as one half of the Street Profits, Ford could easily throw down with WWE icons. Giving the 30-year-old star a main event match wouldn’t be wasted.

As seen in his explosive splashes, Ford puts his blood, sweat and tears into coming out on top. With Angelo Dawkins in his corner, Ford’s potential is unlimited.

6. Bo Dallas

All you have to do is Bo-lieve!

The third ever NXT Champion hasn’t been a regular singles competitor for a few years now. Whether part of the Social Outcasts, the Miztourage, or the B-Team, Dallas’ recent success has been in factions.

With the release of Curtis Axel, Dallas has the opportunity to go it alone. When he came to Raw in 2014, spouting inspirational quotes before viciously attacking his opponent, he divided the WWE fanbase. Some were entertained by his ‘can-do’ attitude, while others couldn’t wait to see the cocky competitor get pinned.

If Dallas returned with his Bo-lieve persona, stealing a championship opportunity, it would be an interesting turn of events. Many eyes would be fixed on the eventual match, even just to watch Dallas receive a beating.

5. John Morrison

Johnny Nitro, Johnny Mundo, Johnny Impact, John Morrison. The man with many names has held many companies’ top titles.

The former Tough Enough winner has had his fair share of success in WWE too. Morrison has used his unique offence to win ECW, tag team and Intercontinental gold. The only thing missing from Johnny’s résumé is a reign with either the WWE or Universal Championship.

While Morrison has challenged for the Universal Title since returning to WWE, it was alongside The Miz in a handicap match. If Morrison received a one-on-one bout, the battle would no-doubt be an instant classic.
