9. The Colons
The Colons have failed miserably once their partnership with Rosa Mendes ended years ago. I won’t go through the laughable gimmicks that they’ve had to do since then. Both Primo and Epico do have talent.
One of my favorite WWE tag team feuds was between John Morrison/The Miz vs. The Colons (Carlito & Primo) to unify the WWE Tag Team titles. This wasn’t a deep or emotional feud but simply a fun build going into a pending match at WrestleMania 25. Though I could’ve done without the Bella Twins being involved.
Morrision and Miz were always an awesome act but Primo got to showoff some personality and his brother Carlito was fun as always. I was actually pissed that their match was removed from the main show in favor of that forgettable and overlong Kid Rock concert.
Since then, the Colons haven’t been given much of a chance to showcase their charisma. Even during their tag title run with Rosa Mendes as their manager (?), they weren’t given a chance to establish their characters. To be honest, the most memorable thing about their run is Rosa Mendes and their catchy entrance theme.
Just like the Revival, these two need to go down to NXT to re-establish themselves to the WWE audience. Give them a year or two to define and hone their characters and showcase the talent they have.
