A new report has revealed that Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero Miedo are expected to be WWE bound once their AEW contracts expire.
If the pair make the move they would be yet another example of stars moving from AEW to WWE, something that was once rare but is now happening increasingly often.
While former AEW signings receive the most attention WWE have been busy making moves from all over the world this year – seen recently with the acquisitions of Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia and DELTA.
These acquisitions, as well as The Lucha Bros could be only the beginning as there are many other names who could also make the jump to WWE in the near future.
So, with that said lets take a look at a list of eleven names who could soon join WWE.
11. The Lucha Brothers
Since we’ve already brought them up it’s only fitting to begin with the stars who will likely be the first on this list to sign on the dotted line with WWE.
Penta and Rey Fenix have done it all outside of WWE, and as they approach the latter stage of their career it truly does make sense to make the move now.
If they instead opted to re-sign with AEW, the chance to ever make that move would likely be gone forever given their age, so it seems like a worthy gamble.
I say gamble, not due to their ability but more due to WWE’s difficulty in getting masked lucha stars over that aren’t named Rey Mysterio.
Their charisma and in-ring ability should push them to a point where this won’t be a problem – as long as they don’t end up lost in the fold or feuding/joining the LWO or Legado Del Fantasma.
