11. Cody Rhodes
Does it count a surprise when it’s the exact thing we’ve all been fantasy booking for the past six months?
We haven’t seen Cody since his pec went into business for itself and exploded right before he was due to face Seth Rollins in the main event of Hell In A Cell 2022.
Or rather, we haven’t seen him since about two hours after that, when he showed up looking like a dye pack had burst on his chest and he still beat Rollins anyway.
Ever since Rhodes left to rehab his injury, fans have been speculating on when he might return, and what better night than the Royal Rumble?
Picture the scene: Rollins clears the ring right before the countdown for the final entrant begins. Who’s it going to be? Three. Two. One. Adrenaline! In my soul! Number thirty: Cody Rhodes!
It would be worth it just to see the look on Rollins’ face, as the ghost of surprise appearances past comes back to torment him once again.
