11 WWE Wrestlers Who Could Revitalize The Mid-Card Scene

11. Sami Zayn

Its stunning that Sami Zayn has yet to win a title on the main roster. You’ve most likely heard it by now, but Sami Zayn was fantastic as the underdog babyface down in NXT. Many pegged Zayn as the next Daniel Bryan, however many of us keep forgetting the differences between many roster creative and NXT creative.

So when the company turned Zayn heel back in 2017, it was a breath of fresh air for Zayn, who surprised many by being a strong pest heel. Again, creative hasn’t really done the Canadian born native any favors thanks to lackluster booking and essentially treating him as a glorified jobber to Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley when he moved to Raw.

Still, Zayn’s injury is actually a blessing in disguise as the company has a chance to finally tap into Sami’s potential. Personally, I think it’s best to keep him as heel when he returns. I just don’t have any faith that this company can book proper babyfaces anymore.

Zayn could easily be the pest or crazed heel of the division.  Personally, I would go with crazed. With him capturing the title for the first time in his WWE main roster career, Sami being obsessive over keeping his title by any means necessary could add a nice wrinkle to his act.

It would also put over the value of the IC or US title that a man is so desperate to be a champion that he’s willing to do anything to keep it. The route that should be taken with his character is the violent and aggressive opportunist, not the classic cowardly heel the company loves to book these days.
