With just over a week away from WWE WrestleMania 42, there are quite a few stars on the roster that might miss out on “The Show of Shows.”

From current champions to established names on Raw and SmackDown, these talents could be left off the card for night one and two of “The Showcase of the Immortals.”

Whether they are included in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal or just left off the lineup completely, these stars will be on the outside looking in for Mania in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Here are 13 WWE stars potentially left off the WrestleMania 42 card.

13. IYO SKY

At last year’s WrestleMania 41, IYO SKY defeated Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Despite being one of WWE’s top stars, SKY has not been announced for a match on this year’s Mania.

While she is currently involved in the rivalry between her tag team partner Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill heading into Mania, it seems like IYO might not get herself a match at “The Grandest Stage of Them All.

If she misses out on Mania, IYO might just be the best in-ring performer to not compete in the two-night premium live event in Allegiant Stadium.

12. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane)

Speaking of IYO SKY, “The Genius of the Sky” has also been part of the storyline with The Kabuki Warriors.

After being turned on by Asuka, IYO has reinserted herself in the story with “The Empress of Tomorrow” and Kairi Sane.

Wanting her friend Kairi to stand on her own, SKY has tried to talk some sense into her longtime friend to not accept Asuka’s abuse and terrible treatment.

While Asuka has challenged her former protege to a singles match in the future, IYO might have to wait for her final lesson against her senpai until after WrestleMania 42.

11. The Original El Grande Americano

Chad Gable returned from injury as The Original El Grande Americano in the 2026 Royal Rumble.

At WWE Royal Rumble 2026, The Original El Grande Americano made his return to the company as an entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match.

Since then, The Original El Grande and the other El Grande Americano have been embroiled in a rivalry that has spanned WWE and Lucha Libre AAA.

While the dynamics change depending on where the two men are feuding, it seems to be all building to a climatic Mask vs. Mask Match between the two El Grandes.

However, the WrestleMania 42 card has already been announced and may see the two Americanos not doing battle in Las Vegas at this time.

10. Los Americanos (El Grande, Bravo & Rayo Americano)

While the teased Mask vs. Mask Match seems to be off the cards, it also looks like WWE does not have another place for any of the Americanos at this point.

Los Americanos has been one of the most consistently featured acts in WWE and Lucha Libre AAA over the past few months.

El Grande Americano has had his sights set on the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but he is not part of the lineup of participants in the Ladder Match at WrestleMania 42.

With no inclusion in the IC Title Ladder Match or a potential Mask vs. Mask bout against The Original El Grande Americano, it looks like all three members of Los Americanos will not be at WrestleMania 42.

9. The MFTs (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga & JC Mateo)

The MFTs have been one of the most prominent factions in all of WWE, especially on Friday Night SmackDown.

This group has held the United States Championship and WWE Tag Team Championships over the past year.

Over the past six months, The MFTs have been in a faction war with The Wyatt Sicks that has dominated SmackDown.

Despite the amount of time this rivalry has been going on, it doesn’t seem like The MFTs will have their opportunity on the WrestleMania 42 card at this point.

8. The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis & Joe Gacy)

Similar to The MFTs, it does not seem like The Wyatt Sicks will find a spot on the WrestleMania 42 lineup as well.

Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy have been one of the most featured acts on Friday nights for months.

While they have held the WWE Tag Team Championships, The Wyatts lost the gold to The MFTs in January.

Now that they are out of the mix for those titles, it doesn’t look like The Wyatt Sicks will have their rightful place on WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

7. Ilja Dragunov

Upon returning to WWE in October 2025, Ilja Dragunov answered Sami Zayn’s United States Championship Open Challenge to win the title.

Then adopting the open challenge, Dragunov proved himself to be a fighting champion and one of the most intense in-ring performers in the business today.

“The Mad Dragon” helped raise the prestige of the US Title before eventually dropping the gold to Carmelo Hayes in December.

After failing to regain the title, it seems like Dragunov does not have a logical path to a match on the WrestleMania 42 premium live event right now.

6. Tiffany Stratton

At last year’s WrestleMania 41 event, Tiffany Stratton defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.

Despite being in one of the biggest matches of the entire weekend, Stratton might be on the outside looking in this year.

Returning to WWE in the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble, Stratton has come up short in her bid to earn a spot on the WrestleMania 42 card.

Despite being in contention for the WWE Women’s United States Championship, Stratton might have to wait until after Mania to become a champion once again.

5. Giulia

Speaking of Tiffany Stratton, the former WWE Women’s Champion has been chasing Giulia for the WWE Women’s United States Title.

“The Beautiful Madness” has had championship gold for much of her run on the WWE main roster since being called up in 2025.

Now a two-time WWE Women’s US Champion, Giulia has been unable to have a title match on a premium live event yet at the time of this writing.

While she is feuding with Stratton, WWE has yet to announce Giulia for a bout on the WrestleMania 42 lineup.

4. Carmelo Hayes

On the March 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes to win the United States Championship.

This led to some fan outrage in regards to all the hard work Hayes has put in and potentially have been snubbed from a spot on the WrestleMania 42 card.

Melo tried to regain the title and get his match with his former friend Trick Williams for the US Title at Mania, but Zayn was able to beat the former champion once again on the April 3 SmackDown.

Hayes being left off the WrestleMania 42 card seems quite likely with everything else being announced for “The Showcase of the Immortals.”

3. Damian Priest & R-Truth

On the March 20 edition of SmackDown, Damian Priest and R-Truth defeated The MFTs to win the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Priest and Truth have already gotten their first title defense under their belt with a win over The Miz and Kit Wilson on the April 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Despite just capturing the tag titles, it feels like there are not a ton of challengers in the waiting for Priest and Truth heading into WrestleMania 42.

While they are a popular duo that deserves to be on the card, it does not seem like Priest and Truth will have a WWE Tag Team Championships match at “The Show of Shows” right now.

2. Bron Breakker

Over the past year, Bron Breakker has been a breakout star on the WWE roster and established himself as a main event level talent on Monday Night Raw.

As a member of The Vision, Breakker has feuded with the likes of Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and CM Punk.

Seemingly on the cusp of being a World Heavyweight Champion, it looked like Breakker would be in a major match on the WrestleMania 42 card, but he was eventually sidelined with an emergency hernia surgery.

While it looked like he would be back in time for Mania, Breakker will not be included on the card and his rumored match with Seth Rollins will now feature GUNTHER instead.

1. Bianca Belair

Following WrestleMania 41, Bianca Belair revealed that she suffered a serious knuckle injury that has sidelined her for a year now.

“The E.S.T. of WWE” is one of the biggest female stars on the WWE roster today and someone who would be guaranteed a spot on the WrestleMania 42 card if she were available.

There were reports and rumors that WWE had been discussing the possibility of having Belair return to face off with her former tag team partner Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at Mania.

Now that it doesn’t seem like an option with her current recovery from her injury, it looks like Belair will not get her rightful spot on the Mania card.
