14. Paul Heyman Turns On The Beast (2002)
They may be inseparable now but there was once a time when Paul Heyman turned his back on Brock.
It was Lesnar v Big Show with the WWE Title up for grabs, just three months after The Next Big Thing had defeated The Rock to snare the gold at SummerSlam.
This was a typical WWE routine title defence if ever there was one. Show was the monster for the company’s new babyface hero to slay.
Only he wasn’t. In a swerve that genuinely stunned onlookers, Heyman turned on The Beast and assisted The Big Show, allowing him to defeat Lesnar and win the title.
Could it happen again? It could . . . but it probably won’t.
