Taking dives through tables was commonplace in ECW by 1995 but it had never been done before in WWE.
During their gripping Survivor Series WWE Title match main event, Bret Hart and Kevin ‘Diesel’ Nash took a page out of the bingo hall playbook when Diesel sent Hart crashing off the ring apron and through a ringside table.
It was a small moment in the overall grand scheme of things but a pivotal and industry-changing one in others.
The bump began a trend of ever-increasing violence levels in WWE. In many ways it was the start of the Attitude Era that Hart himself to deeply loathed. Irony, huh?
