16. Lex Luger
WWE Tenure: 1993-1995 (Wrestler)
Notable Accomplishments: 2x WCW World Heavyweight Championship and 1x Royal Rumble Winner
Luger never won a title in WWE in spite of winning the 1994 Royal Rumble but was still a main event talent. He was dubbed the ‘Total Package’, he looked the part and had the charisma to match. He is now paralysed from the legs down and WWE fans should remember him for his work in the ring during his prime instead of the unfortunate turn of events that his life has taken post-retirement. Luger’s career at the top of the card was successful and he has done a lot for the company since his retirement, helping with WWE’s Wellness Policy, and as such warrants t a Hall of Fame induction.
15. Demolition
WWE Tenure: 1987-1991 (Wrestlers)
Notable Accomplishments: 3x WWE World Tag Team Championships
Ax and Smash are one of the most destructive tag teams in WWE history. They were extremely successful, holding the World Tag Team Championships for 478 days, a record that stood until it was broken by The New Day in late 2016. The pair were unstoppable with the help of Mr Fuji and deserve an induction into WWE’s Hall of Fame, in spite of their unpleasant relationship in recent years.
14. Jim Johnston
WWE Tenure: 1985-2017 (Composer)
Notable Accomplishments: Making some of the best WWE entrance themes
When the glass shattered to signify an imminent Stone Cold Steve Austin’s entrance, the crowd popped huge. Jim Johnston is the incredible brain responsible for this iconic sound. Johnston was in charge of creating entrance themes for WWE superstars throughout his 32-year tenure with the company. He was the mastermind behind the themes of The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and Randy Orton, amongst many others. An entrance theme is the first thing that the crowd hear before a superstar enters, and the theme can either make or break a superstar. Johnston has been responsible for some of the best themes in WWE history and deserves an inclusion into the Hall of Fame, especially over the likes of Kid Ink… I mean seriously?
13. Matt Bloom
WWE Tenure: 1999-2004 and 2012-2014 (Wrestler)/2014-Present (NXT Performance Center Trainer)
Notable Accomplishments: 1x Intercontinental Championship and SURVIVING THAT DAMN TENSAI GIMMICK.
Seriously, the fact that Bloom was able to survive the Tensai gimmick is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction on its own. On a serious note, Bloom was a versatile performer for WWE, starring as A-Train and Albert for Vince McMahon. He even teaming with Big Show to take on The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Whilst never a main event figure in WWE, Bloom was always reliable and never left the company on bad terms. In his work with NXT in the Performance Center as Head Trainer, Bloom has helped to cultivate the golden generation of NXT talent and as such is held in high regard by WWE higher-ups and as such is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction.
