Syuri is one of Japan’s top joshi stars, recently recapturing the IWGP Women’s Heavyweight Championship.
The supremely talented performer was set to join AEW for an excursion over the summer — first appearing in the Casino Gauntlet at All In this past July — however, an unfortunate injury requiring surgery prevented that from happening.
However, fans will be hoping we could soon see her return for an extended run before the end of the year.
A former UFC veteran and one of the best in-ring workers in the world, Syuri now holds the IWGP Women’s Championship — could we see her as Mercedes Moné’s opponent at AEW’s final PPV of the year, World’s End?
