5 Potential 2022 Men’s & Women’s Royal Rumble Match Winners

Women’s #5 – Alexa Bliss

Hoo boy would this one receive a mixed reaction. There are several women’s stars who are currently out on the shelf with injuries, and I think it’s not too much of a stretch to assume that at least two of them may make their return in the Royal Rumble match.

Asuka is the other woman who could make her return in the match, as well as another one who we’ll get into later. Between Asuka and Bliss, I believe it’s far more likely that Little Miss Bliss would come out victorious on the night.

Alexa was last seen on WWE television when she was defeated by then-Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, who then tore up her Lilly. Alexa has been out due to sinus surgery since, but her going after the woman who took her Lilly away would be a natural progression of her arc. Alexa also recently teased coming after Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch after her victory over Liv Morgan on Raw.

With two plausible options, as well as Bliss’ huge popularity with the audience, I wouldn’t say it’s safe to completely rule her out.

Men’s #5 – Omos

I know, I know, you just had to double take. WWE loves their larger-than-life monsters, and they don’t come much larger than the Colossus known as Omos.

WWE broke up Omos’ ongoing partnership with AJ Styles on this week’s episode of Raw as of this writing, and the two are set to blow off their angle prior to the Royal Rumble match. Reports have emerged that WWE wanted to rush the breakup of the pair as both men have ‘significant plans’ for early 2022.

It couldn’t mean, could it?

I actually don’t think it is that much of a stretch for us to potentially see Omos topple 29 other men, and go on to dethrone Big E in a clash of the titans at AT&T Stadium in April.

Or he could ultimately end up on the receiving end of the yearly “how could anyone eliminate this man???” commentary line, before being dumped out by everyone in the ring.
