AEW’s media rights deal with WBD is seemingly now in the homestretch, with an official announcement expected some time next week.
AEW’s new deal will potentially see the addition of a new television show, as well as potential exclusivity with WBD partners no longer being present.
If AEW is to continue its expansion, a number of new shows could be on the horizon for Tony Khan’s promotion.
Here are 5 new AEW shows that could debut soon.
5) AEW Shockwave
One of the hot rumours currently making the rounds in regards to AEW’s future media rights deal concerns a recent trademark filed by the company for ‘AEW Shockwave’.
The show is reportedly set to be an extra one hour show, with it reportedly set to potentially air on a FOX affiliated channel.
While FS1 or the Tubi app are more likely landing spots than FOX itself, the channel now needs wrestling content on their programming after SmackDown’s run on the show came to an end.
AEW spreading it’s wings to another network can only help the company if the exclusivity window is over with WBD.
