Imagine a world where the final "forbidden door" is cracked open — a world where WWE and AEW come together to share talent.
A utopian dream, perhaps, but just think of the incredible potential for tag team combinations.
Some would reunite wrestlers with shared history, while others would create dream teams.
Here are five crossover tag teams we could hope to see.
5. Marina Shafir & Shayna Baszler
AEW’s Marina Shafir and WWE’s Shayna Baszler share a long history, first appearing together on the UFC’s reality show The Ultimate Fighter where, alongside coach Ronda Rousey and Jessamyn Duke, they formed the “Four Horsewomen.”
Both later signed with NXT, though while Baszler rose to main roster success, Shafir was eventually released.
Now, with an improved in-ring style and a reinvented persona, Shafir is involved in a top storyline in AEW, while Baszler could benefit from a much-needed push in WWE.
At this stage of their careers, reuniting the two – with their joint MMA-influenced offence – would create an entertaining and impactful team.
