Even though WrestleMania season is upon us, recent news from the Twitter feed of Wrestlevotes is throwing our eyes forward in the wrestling calendar to another ‘Big Four’ pay-per-view; SummerSlam… in 2019.
After a four-year stretch at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, NY, the forth of which is taking place this year on August 19, there have been suggestions that the ‘Hottest Event of the Summer’ may be looking to find a new home and stadiums are on the agenda with a Major League Baseball venue being most likely.
SummerSlam, and the surrounding weekend events, are moving on from Brooklyn after this upcoming year. Location still TBD, but high probability of SummerSlam being held at a stadium venue. Likely a MLB stadium.
