We’ll start with someone we know is going to be at WrestleMania, but whose role at the show is still unclear.

It was reported in January of this year that the world’s greatest dad, Bill Goldberg, would be headlining the 2018 class of the WWE Hall of Fame. This means that the former WWE Universal Champion will definitely be in New Orleans the weekend of WrestleMania (the Hall of Fame ceremony takes place the night before in the same city), which would give WWE the perfect chance to use Bill for more than just a cheesy speech.

Rumors began circulating a few months ago that a legendary name from WWE’s past would be entering and winning this year’s André The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. This would be to capitalize on the mainstream media attention André’s name is receiving right now, thanks to a documentary being made about him by HBO.

Now, as we all know, Vince McMahon feeds off mainstream attention like a vampire feeds off human blood, so the chairman will be chomping at the bit to maximize this attention.

Goldberg, who also has some mainstream attention on him due to his Hall of Fame induction, is the most heavily rumored legend that WWE is considering to actually win the battle royal.

It makes sense too; Goldberg’s entire shtick last year was that he can come out of retirement and kick everyone’s ass, so why not have him do it again here?

Whether he wins the battle royal or not, Goldberg will still have his WrestleMania moment in New Orleans when he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame. For fans of spears, jackhammers and tiny black shorts, however, there is still hope we might see Bill back in the ring one more time.
