With WWE Night of Champions 2025 set to host the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, as well as John Cena vs. CM Punk – it’s shaping up to be a show to remember.
Adding to the excitement, Triple H could drop some big surprises on the fans in Saudi Arabia as the road to SummerSlam goes straight through Riyadh on June 28.
Here are five potential surprises for WWE Night of Champions 2025.
5. Ilja Dragunov Wins King of the Ring
When WWE unveiled the bracket for the men’s King of the Ring, fans’ curiosity was piqued by a mystery spot being left open in the first round match between Sheamus, Rusev and Bronson Reed.
Among the names who could potentially fill the spot is the currently injured Ilja Dragunov. Despite originally being estimated to be returning in the Fall of 2025, rumors have been mounting regarding an earlier return.
If it is in fact Dragunov who fills the spot then he must be among the favorites to win the whole thing, especially given that long-time nemesis GUNTHER is once again World Heavyweight Champion.
Fans will know for sure if Dragunov is even in the tournament on next week’s WWE Raw, so this is a potential surprise that is very much in the air until then.
