5 WWE Partner Promotions You Must See

Around the world WWE has formed many successful partnerships with several promotions.

From talent exchange, to a lot of exposure and guest appearances on the WWE Network, these partnerships have been fantastic for both parties so far.

But who are those promotions and are they worth a watch? This guide tells you who they are and what you can expect from them.


5. Over The Top Wrestling (OTT)

OTT is the home promotion of NXT UK star Jordan Devilin. Devlin is their current reigning World Champion. The strength of the promotion is its incredible unparalleled video packages, as well as strong emotionally driven storylines.

The championship victory of Jordan Devlin, who was trained by former Universal Champion Finn Balor, against WALTER is probably one of the loudest crowd reactions ever heard for a promotion of this size. It is definitely worth a watch.


4. Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW)

ICW has brought forward a number of talent that currently is working for NXT UK, NXT and WWE. Drew McIntyre, Killian Dain, Joe Coffey and Wolfgang are just a few.

Their current World Champion is Stevie Boy, who won the title against Wolfgang, after the title had to vacated due the tragic death of wrestler Lionheart.

A memorable moment for the promotion WWE’s Triple H appearing at an ICW event alongside Pete Dunne in 2017.


3. Westside-X-Treme Wrestling (wXw)

Launched on Christmas Eve in 2000, the promotion has grown to become Germany’s top wrestling company. NXT UK Champion WALTER, who also is holding the wXw Tag Team Championship alongside Ilja Dragunov, is the head trainer at wXw’s Wrestling Academy.

Their current World Champion is Bobby Gunns. wXw’s is probably most famous for hosting Europe’s biggest wrestling tournament: 16 Carat Gold. The three-day extravaganza was won by Lucky Kid this year.


2. PROGRESS Wrestling

Progress is known for putting on the greatest wrestling cards in the entire United Kingdom. With their celebrated Hello: Wembley event, the promotion wrote British wrestling history in September 2018.

Their current World Champion is WALTER, who has been dominating the promotion since July 2018. During his powerful reign, the Austrian has also won and retired the Progress Atlas Championship.

Former ECW official Gabe Sapolsky founded the promotion. It was Daniel Bryan who came up with the promotion’s name. The promotion unified with Dragon Gate USA in 2011.

Their current World Champion is the newest signing to NXT: Austin Theory. Theory beat JD Drake to unify the WWN Championship with the World Title at EVOLVE 131, which was broadcast on the WWE Network.
