2025 is going to be the final in-ring year of WWE’s ‘Greatest of All-Time’ John Cena. That means a full 365 days of grand finales and goodbyes for Big Match John.
But what is there left to do for a man who has won 16 WWE World Championships? It turns out there are a few boxes unchecked and things to relive one more time before his time is up.
Let’s take a look at five potential stops on John Cena’s final WWE run.
5. The Passing Of The Torch: John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes
While Cody Rhodes and John Cena have met inside a WWE ring before, he never locked horns with this version of The American Nightmare.
The current face of the company, Rhodes is as close to WWE have had to John Cena since he left for Hollywood.
A match between Cena and Rhodes could be set up as a true passing of the torch moment, and could easily take top billing at one of WWE’s big PLEs in 2025.
If WWE want to go all the way they could even have Rhodes be Cena’s final ever opponent, giving closure to an incredible career and Cody one final stamp of approval.
