With AEW Double or Nothing bringing the annual Memorial Day tradition to Arizona for the first time, the card is fully stacked.
However, there are some matches that seemed highly likely in weeks past that didn’t end up making the cut or storyline shifts saw them not happen at all.
Here are six AEW Double or Nothing 2025 matches that seemed possible but didn’t end up coming to fruition.
6. MJF vs. Bobby Lashley
While ultimately it appears that MJF has joined the Hurt Syndicate – for the time being at least – it seems as though the partnership may be ultimately doomed to fail.
Bobby Lashley was the biggest hurdle stopping MJF from being welcomed into the Hurt Syndicate, with their issues potentially setting up a future match.
However, for the time being, Lashley has agreed to allow MJF into the group, so perhaps the match is being saved for AEW All In Texas instead.
At Double Or Nothing, Lashley teams with Shelton Benjamin to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara, and it’s very likely MJF will play a part in the result of that match.
