AEW has seen its fair share of factions breakup over the years, and heading into 2026 it seems as if we could see a few more casualties.

These groups seem like they are heading towards some splitting up in the weeks and months to come.

Here are six AEW factions to potentially split up.

6. The Death Riders

Ever since losing the AEW World Championship at All In: Texas 2025, Jon Moxley has experienced a significant downfall.

Whether it be saying “I quit” to Darby Allin at AEW WrestleDream 2025 or tapping out to Kyle O’Reilly twice at Blood & Guts and Full Gear 2025, Moxley feels like he is down on his luck now more than ever.

Following his loss to Claudio Castagnoli in the Continental Classic, it seems like fans could be seeing a major development within The Death Riders.

Now that he has suffered numerous losses, it might be time for The Death Riders to split from Moxley and excommunicate their former leader for good.
