Whether it be Mariah May betraying Timeless Toni Storm or Jon Moxley and Blackpool Combat Club turning on Bryan Danielson, these heel turns have shaken the foundation of the entire promotion.
Looking at the current landscape of the company, there are several stars who could be on the verge of turning heel that could shift things dramatically.
Here are six AEW heel turns potentially coming soon.
6. Keith Lee
Sidelined since December 2023, Keith Lee has been away from AEW programming for a year and a half now.
When it is time for his return, Lee will be coming back to a completely different promotion altogether with so much changing in that time.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champion will need something that allows him to stand out and immediately grab the attention of the fans.
Lee could turn heel instantly upon his return and target his former tag team partner in Swerve Strickland to finally conclude their feud.
