WWE/ESPN
WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 will mark the first Premium Live Event to air live on the ESPN new direct-to-consumer app.
This historic event will set the tone for this new era for the company where they form a powerful partnership with ESPN moving forward.
There could be a variety of changes that WWE undergoes thanks to this new partnership that will adjust how fans view their product in the near future.
Here are six potential ESPN changes to WWE.
6. Pay-Per-View Model

Starting in 2014, WWE moved away from a pay-per-view model and moved to their own Network that would air their major shows on the app.
Then in 2021, the company made the transition to the Peacock streaming service. Both WWE Network and Peacock were priced at under $10 a month for those watching from the United States.
WWE’s latest move to the ESPN app will totally change how their audience will be watching major events moving forward.
Going back to a similar pay-per-view model for those who do not have ESPN as part of their cable plan, fans will have to pay $29.99 a month for this new app to watch WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025 live this Saturday, September 20.
