Throughout the six year history of the promotion, AEW has signed or brought several WWE legends into the fold.
From in-ring competitors to on-screen personalities and commentators, the company has been helped tremendously by the presence of these icons of the business.
With several names being in the company for all these years, their deals will come up, which could lead to them making their way back to WWE.
Here are six legends to potentially leave AEW and return to WWE
6. Billy Gunn
At the start of the promotion, All Elite Wrestling brought in Billy Gunn for a backstage producer role.
However, Gunn would compete on rare occasions until he officially aligned with The Acclaimed’s Anthony Bowens and Max Caster.
The trio went on to get massive success with the WWE Hall of Famer giving them the guidance to become AEW World Tag Team Champions and then all three capturing the AEW World Trios Championship as well.
Despite Gunn recently returning alongside Anthony Bowens, he feels unnecessary in his current role and might benefit from returning to WWE where he could play a litany of different roles.
