Now just a few weeks away, WWE Royal Rumble 2026 is fast approaching with the card taking shape slowly but surely.
Whether it be stars staking their claim for championship gold or some heated issues only intensifying, there is a lot of potential that this card may hold in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
From key title showdowns to ongoing rivalries reaching an apex, the event should see some high profile bouts to go with the titular Royal Rumble matches.
Here are six potential matches to be added to the WWE Royal Rumble 2026 event.
Undisputed WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Sami Zayn

To the shock of many fans, Drew McIntyre defeated Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell to win the Undisputed WWE Championship on the January 9 SmackDown.
This surprising victory has completely shook up the main event picture on Friday Night SmackDown.
Elsewhere, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that there will be four qualifiers on the January 16 episode to determine a four-way match on the January 24 Saturday Night’s Main Event with the winner moving on to get a shot at the WWE Title.
With the title shot set for WWE Royal Rumble 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, it would make a sense for Sami Zayn to win the four-way and move on to face McIntyre, which is someone he has never beaten in his career.
