6 Matches At WWE Raw Before WrestleMania 42

WWE is full speed ahead on the road to WrestleMania 42 with only six episodes of Monday Night Raw before “The Show of Shows.”

While the company will be setting up matches for the two-night event’s card, there will be some necessary bouts on WWE Raw ahead of Mania.

From title matches to top contenders being determined, WWE Raw will have some matches that must happen on the road to “The Showcase of the Immortals.”

Here are six potential matches at WWE Raw before WrestleMania 42.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: AJ Lee (c) vs. Asuka

At WWE Elimination Chamber 2026, AJ Lee defeated Becky Lynch to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Then on the March 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, Lee stated that she will be a fighting champion and issued an open challenge to anyone on the roster.

This led to the company announcing a number one contenders gauntlet match with IYO SKY, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Raquel Rodriguez, Asuka and Ivy Nile to determine who will get the first shot at the Women’s IC Title on the March 9 episode.

Out of those names in the bout, it feels like Asuka could move on to face AJ Lee in her first defense as a champion in over a decade on an upcoming episode of WWE Raw.
