Cain Velasquez

This story practically writes itself, Cain Velasquez going to WrestleMaina to face WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, although it probably doesn’t need to be written involving the Royal Rumble.

Velasquez winning would be somewhat of a shocker but having another face off against ‘The Beast’ would be a premier contest and one that hopefully goes much better than their Crown Jewel match.

Plus you can’t put it past Vince to have Cain win to garner more mainstream attention.

Drew McIntyre

McIntyre appears to be in a push towards the top of the Raw card. Given that, the ‘Scottish Terminator’ would make an excellent choice to win and solidify that ascent.

Another big man who you can clearly see becoming a favourite of McMahon, winning the Rumble and facing off against Lesnar or another top wrestler on Raw would make for a great bout at ‘The Showcase of Immortals.’

Kevin Owens

KO’s recent character development seems to be a cross between Stone Cold Steve Austin and CM Punk. A crowd favourite antihero that says what the fans are thinking.

While he’s currently feuding with Seth Rollins, it wouldn’t be surprising seeing him out last 29 other men and go on to main event WrestleMaina, ending it with a win and another fan pleasing moment.

CM Punk

The odds of this may seem very unlikely considering the ‘Voice of the Voiceless’ isn’t even under a WWE contract.

However, one would have to assume that a surprise entrant at the number 30 spot and ultimately winning the contest would blow the roof of the venue, possibly even break the internet.

If he were to ever come back as an in-ring performer, this would be the perfect spot to do so.
