AEW
The AEW tag team division has truly been revitalized in 2025, with an increased focus on different duos and a wide range of remarkable matches throughout the year.
From FTR and The Young Bucks to Brodido and JetSpeed, these teams have been among the best in all of the pro wrestling business.
Fans could potentially see some new tag teams being created on AEW television to close out 2025 and heading into 2026.
Here are six potential new AEW tag teams.
6. Swerve Strickland & Hangman Adam Page

At AEW Full Gear 2025, Samoa Joe defeated Hangman Adam Page in a Steel Cage Match to win the AEW World Championship thanks to HOOK turning heel and reuniting with The Opps.
Post match, Swerve Strickland made his return to the company for the first time since August after recovering from knee surgery.
Despite his history with the former AEW World Champion, Strickland stood side by side with Hangman in fighting off The Opps to close the pay-per-view and on the November 26 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Now, Swerve and Hangman will face Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata of The Opps on the December 10 Winter Is Coming special of AEW Dynamite, a match that could mark the start of a new tag team between two of AEW’s most bitter rivals.
