Ever since WWE acquired Lucha Libre AAA, there have been different alliances formed between the stars of the two promotions.

Whether it be Ethan Page and Chelsea Green or Lola Vice and Mr Iguana, these partnerships have seen talent winning gold all over the world.

Looking at both the WWE and AAA rosters, there are quite a few intriguing new partners that might come together next.

Here are six new potential WWE and AAA tag team partners.

6. Rey Fenix & La Parka

Rey Fenix and La Parka were both entrants in the 2026 Royal Rumble

On the April 25 edition of AAA on FOX, Rey Fenix and La Parka picked up a win in tag team action over The Money Machine.

Despite Fenix wanting to team with his brother Penta in AAA, this new pairing with Parka might pay dividends and could lead to some success in the near future.

Fenix and Parka showed off a ton of chemistry together that could be utilized in the tag team division.

With Psycho Clown and Pagano currently holding the AAA Tag Team Championships, Fenix and Parka could be formidable challengers for the gold sooner rather than later.

5. El Grande Americano & El Texano Jr

El Grande Americano won the 2026 Rey De Reyes, while Texano Jr won it in 2015

On the April 25 episode of AAA on FOX, El Grande Americano and El Texano Jr defeated El Mesias and Mecha Wolf in the main event.

The week prior, Americano and Texano bonded over their previous wins as the Rey de Reyes sword holder.

Knowing how both men have some pride and love for Mexico, Texano and El Grande could make for future champions in Lucha Libre AAA.

Becoming a regular pairing, Americano and Texano have what it takes to become the most popular tag team in WWE AAA today.

4. Johnny Gargano & Laredo Kid

Over the past few months, Johnny Gargano has been going through a bout of depression after a series of losses and the departure of Tommaso Ciampa from WWE.

Regularly seen backstage face down, Gargano has been trying to find himself to become ‘Johnny Wrestling’ again.

To find his passion again, Gargano might have to head to Mexico for Lucha Libre AAA and potentially join forces with a new partner.

Laredo Kid is enjoying a record-breaking reign as AAA Cruiserweight Champion, but he could see Gargano as an opportunity to find some more gold and enter the AAA Tag Team Title picture.

3. Lola Vice & La Catalina

La Catalina was signed to WWE NXT from 2019 to 2021

Lola Vice has become one of the regular competitors in Lucha Libre AAA over the past year.

While she is the current NXT Women’s Champion, Vice is also paired with Mr Iguana as one half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions as well.

Meanwhile, La Catalina recently made her debut in AAA after a lengthy stint in CMLL.

Despite making her intentions to become the new Reina de Reinas Champion, Catalina could form a partnership with Vice that might be able to cross over into WWE as they have similar personalities that can make for a charismatic duo.

2. Rey Mysterio & Mini Vikingo

There is a 34 year age gap between 51-year-old Rey Mysterio and 17-year-old Mini Vikingo

Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest luchadors to ever step foot in a wrestling ring and has recently been a color commentator on the AAA on FOX show.

While Mysterio is behind the commentary desk, he has taken a liking to one of the newest stars on the AAA roster, Mini Vikingo.

Embroiled in a feud with El Hijo del Vikingo, Mini Vikingo has been gaining popularity and garnered a connection with the fanbase.

Having similar traits to a young Mysterio, the WWE Hall of Famer could see a lot of himself in Mini Vikingo and form a partnership in AAA moving forward.

1. Dominik Mysterio & El Hijo del Vikingo

Dominik Mysterio is 2-0 in singles matches against Vikingo

Dominik Mysterio has sat at the mountaintop of Lucha Libre AAA after defeating El Hijo del Vikingo to win the AAA Mega Championship.

Over the past year, Mysterio and Vikingo have had several battles with one another over the top prize in the Mexican promotion.

‘Dirty Dom’ choosing to work with Vikingo might be the best way for both men to get ahead and have some backup in WWE AAA moving forward.

With both men being two of the top heels in the promotion, it would be fitting to see Mysterio and Vikingo become a ‘Two-Man Power Trip’ in Lucha Libre AAA that can reign over the company for years to come.
