WWE/AEW
Earlier this year, WWE SmackDown’s tag team division was firing on all cylinders with the arrival of Axiom from NXT, the presence of veteran standouts DIY and the Motor City Machine Guns, and the short-lived formation of the impressive duo of Fenix and Andrade.
In recent months, however, momentum has cooled, with The Wyatt Sicks holding the titles amid a storyline-heavy feud with The Street Profits.
Meanwhile, over on Raw, The Judgment Day remain tag champions, but the belts have received little focus in recent weeks.
There are, however, countless talented tag teams outside WWE — and if Paul Levesque wanted to reignite the division, there are plenty of options. WrestleTalk considers which teams WWE could look to bring in.
6. The Hardys

On the 7 October edition of NXT — the special NXT vs. TNA Wrestling episode — The Hardy Boys captured the NXT Tag Team Championships, becoming double champions in the process.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the legendary team were hugely over with the NXT audience, receiving the loudest reactions of the night.
Now holding WWE gold once again, it appears we’re moving closer to a full-time return for the duo in the promotion that made them globally recognised stars.
The only question is how soon we’ll see them begin what seems destined to be their final run — and their inevitable induction into the WWE Hall of Fame.
