Tournaments are something that add a lot to WWE’s weekly programming, with the company often using them to determine number one contenders for championships.
The company is currently in the middle of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, with both tournaments giving fans solid in-ring action on both Raw and SmackDown thus far.
With the success of these tournaments, as well as other established ones in other companies such as AEW’s Continental Classic, WWE could add even more of them to their calendar.
Here are six new WWE tournaments to potentially be introduced.
6. Mae Young Classic
Back in 2017, WWE opened its doors to stars all over the wrestling world for their all women’s Mae Young Classic Tournament.
The likes of Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Kairi Sane and Toni Storm all received their debuts in the two iterations of the tournament and it helped to put a huge spotlight on women’s wrestling.
With the upcoming WWE Evolution 2025 event coming next month, it would be a great time to bring back the Mae Young Classic.
Honoring a women’s pioneer in the wrestling industry and highlighting female stars all around, the Mae Young Classic is something that could put further emphasis on WWE Evolution and extremely bolster the women’s division.
