3. The Don Callis Family Screw Over Will Ospreay
After Will Ospreay refused to allow Kyle Fletcher use Don Callis’ trusty screwdriver during their AEW World Tag Team Championship match on Dynamite last week, in-turn costing them the win over The Young Bucks, one must imagine consequences are coming.
Callis remained uncharacteristically nice to Ospreay throughout his split from him during the Summer, but I have a feeling this latest loss may be the final straw.
With Ospreay defending his AEW International Championship against Ricochet, there are plenty of opportunities for a screw job… Literally, as it would be fitting if Fletcher cost Ospreay the title via a screwdriver shot to the face.
Whether Tony Khan books this to happen during a match as anticipated as Ospreay vs. Ricochet remains to be seen, with the turn perhaps coming after the match is over. However, with neither Ospreay or Ricochet really in a position to lose clean, Callis family interference would be the easiest workaround.
