6 Surprises At WWE Backlash 2025

After a drama-filled weekend of action in Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41, WWE is now looking ahead to Backlash 2025 on Saturday, May 10 from St. Louis, Missouri.

This Premium Live Event should set the tone for the rest of the year as the company looks to continue the success of their most lucrative WrestleMania of all time.

From returns to major storylines being set in motion, Backlash will offer many different twists and turns that should further change the landscape for WWE.

Here are six potential surprises at WWE Backlash 2025.

6. Bayley Returns To Target Becky Lynch

Ahead of WrestleMania 41 Night One, Bayley was attacked backstage and forced to miss the second night of the event.

In her place, Becky Lynch returned to team with Lyra Valkyria to defeat Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.

However, Lynch and Valkyria’s title run only lasted one day, with The Judgment Day duo regaining the gold on the Raw after Mania. This then led to Becky turning on Lyra, attacking her in the post match.

After this attack following their loss, it is safe to assume that Bayley may have been taken out by Becky in the first place, setting up the Role Model for a return at Backlash where she can get her hands on The Man.
