Amid several injuries, there have been big changes to the upcoming WWE Night of Champions 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Between matches that were announced and had to be canceled to others that were expected but didn’t come to fruition, there were some sizable changes in the weeks ahead of the upcoming premium live event.
Here are six WWE Night of Champions 2025 matches that were expected but ended up not taking place.
6. R-Truth vs. John Cena
While it was never advertised as John Cena is squarely set to face off against CM Punk at WWE Night of Champions, R-Truth (Ron Killing) believed himself to be able to get another chance at Cena.
Despite continuing to interrupt the proceedings on SmackDown, Truth would not end up getting his hands on Cena for Night of Champions.
At the SmackDown in Riyadh, Truth continued to attempt to demand another shot at John Cena, notably interrupting Aleister Black to only end up rebuffed backstage by Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis.
When he would later halt the show, he was taken out by Aleister Black who would later have an intriguing backstage confrontation over the sneak attack with Damian Priest. Priest would suggest Black come straight to Truth’s face, seemingly teasing a future match between Truth and Black.
