5. Santos Escobar officially departs Legado del Fantasma
An interesting contract story in 2025 was that of Santos Escobar. After seeing his WWE contract expire he had a brief period of free agency before it was reported that he had re-signed.
However with reports of his re-signing came some teaser details about what might be next for the former leader of Legado del Fantasma.
Rumors suggesting that he was set for a singles push noted that he was likely to switch brands from Angel and Berto, thereby disbanding the group.
However since this has yet to come to fruition, there could be a new plan evolving for the return of Santos Escobar.
