7 AEW Dream Matches For Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair has become “Queen of the Damned” as of late, following a myriad of controversy with her Women’s Title Swap segment on last Friday’s SmackDown with Becky Lynch and their backstage altercation afterwards.

The current SmackDown Women’s Champion has been the talk of the wrestling world since.

There has been various rumors of her being unpopular among the locker room and alienating herself from her fellow WWE Superstars.

As a result, PWInsider has reported that individuals in Charlotte’s circle want the 13-Time Champion to push to get out of her WWE contract.

If she is able to do so, AEW with her fiancee Andrade El Idolo seems like the most likely destination.

Despite AEW’s issues with their women’s division, they have assembled a surplus of talent that would mesh well to produce quality encounters with The Queen.

Let’s take a look at what’s in store for Charlotte if she becomes “All Elite”. These are the seven AEW dream matches for Charlotte Flair.

7. Riho

One of the building blocks of AEW’s women’s division, Riho hasn’t been highlighted as much as she originally was.

The inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion is an easy underdog babyface for the crowd to get behind.

She has showcased a unique ability to blend high flying offense with quick strikes to get the victory over larger opponents.

Charlotte Flair would make a great base for much of Riho’s arsenal. In addition, The Queen would be able to convincingly dominate her smaller opponent and build to a dramatic crescendo where either competitor can win.

6. Kris Statlander

There aren’t many opponents in WWE or AEW that can match Charlotte Flair’s mix of size and athleticism. However, Kris Statlander may be the exception.

The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien has built plenty of momentum since returning from injury earlier this year.

Following her loss to Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All Out 2021, she needs huge wins to get back to her ultimate goal of being a champion.

A feud with a highly decorated star like Charlotte Flair may be just what Statlander needs. It would be an evenly matched contest with the two ladies sharing much of the same attributes.

Moreover, fans could even see some mixed tag team action with Andrade El Idolo and Orange Cassidy getting involved as well.

5. Hikaru Shida

The longest reigning AEW Women’s World Champion, Hikaru Shida has been a top star for their women’s division since the early days of the promotion.

Shida is in the middle of a rivalry with Serena Deeb at the moment, getting her 50th win on the October 27 episode of Dynamite.

After that feud is over, she will need another opponent that will have her prominently featured on AEW Dynamite regularly, so Charlotte Flair more than fits the bill.

The Queen will have to deal with the hard-hitting strikes of the former AEW Women’s World Champion.

Her Figure 8 submission focuses on the knee, which is the main tool of Shida with her Tamashii finisher. These two women could create magic in the ring together.
